Children's Enlightenment Meditation Course

For families with school-age children, teenagers, and college students, practicing meditation can bring them many practical benefits. A clinical trial report on adolescent meditation showed that practicing meditation has ten significant effects.
1. Improve concentration; students are more focused and attentive.
2. Lower blood pressure; students' blood pressure can be significantly lowered at any time and in any occasion, even when facing exam pressure.
3. Reduce absences or truancy; also improve student behavior problems.
4. Improved grades; students feel their performance in homework and school has improved significantly.
5. Improve relationships with others, including those at home, with siblings, and with parents.
6. More self-confidence; this is one of the most important personality traits for children, students and young people.
7. Improve sleep; As insomnia becomes more and more serious, people begin to pay attention to the importance of sleep.
8. Relieves headaches; very good results.
9. Calmness: Just as lowering blood pressure is crucial for students who practice meditation, it is important for them to remain calm no matter what the situation, even under stress. This is because in real life, whether we are playing sports, applying for a job, taking an exam, or facing various other challenging situations, maintaining calmness is the key to success, health, and happiness.
10.Enhance intelligence;
According to a Yale University Medical Research, students who practiced meditation experienced less daydreaming, depression, schizophrenia and other symptoms of mental disorders.
 A research report indicates that students who practiced meditation had less active cells in the area of their brains that controls self-centeredness. Therefore, the research team recommends using meditation to "shut down" the self-centered mindset and establish a more objective mindset.
The research report also pointed out that the meditation practiced by students mainly focuses on "calming the mind", and even the simplest meditation method is acceptable. It can be practiced twice a day for 10-15 minutes each time.

The children's meditation courses developed by Yuandan Trinley Dorje Rinpoche include "Physical Quietness Class", "Visualization Class", "Chanting Class", "Mudra Wisdom-Enlightenment Class", "Silence and Silence Meditation Class", "Human Potential Development and Intelligence Enhancement Class", and "Parent-Child Class".
